For far too long man has been treating Mother Earth with an uncaring and callous attitude. Man has lived selfishly, worried about his own welfare and happiness on Earth, and went to great lengths to assure himself of this happiness, irrespective of how it could affect other lifeforms and environment. In his efforts to gratify his sense desires and to reap huge profits, he took Nature by the storm, pillaging Her bounteous treasures, destroying the ecological system and the environment with noxious pollution. All this illustrates the height of barbarism to which man has reduced himself. The atrocities inflicted upon Nature have culminated to drastic climatic and environmental changes, and where humanity and other life-forms stand to suffer the most.
Various kinds of diseases and natural catastrophes are ravaging man’s existence; it seems Nature is turning tables upon him, teaching him a lesson or two on love and respect. However, he needs to have a fine mind to understand the language of Nature. All that happens to him in life is the effect of the causes that he has put forth in the Universe. Nature is now taking command of man’s existence and wreaking havoc as much as he had been and continues doing to Her, mercilessly felling trees and clearing up large forest reserves, blocking the waters of the river and lakes, destroying the landscape for the sake of erecting huge concrete structures, killing animals in cold blood to satiate the lusty and gross appetites, the practice which is still at large since the barbarian ages where man knew naught else but to kill to eat. The taste for the blood of animals still prevails strong in the consciousness of man, driving him to continue the barbaric acts in this age and time where science, civilisation and technology have advanced to such sophistication. Partaking of the flesh of animals is not at all elegant; it is pure savagery.
Nature is now taking back what is rightfully Hers – that which was snatched from Her without due respect or gratification. For this, she needs to wipe out man’s civilization. It was a grave error on man’s part to think that he could rule the world at the expense of peace and harmony of all other life-forms. This is not Nature’s way of taking revenge, as many would be apt to think. The Mother loves Her children, and if they have been naughty, they do need a sound whacking. This is exactly what Nature is doing to Her erring children. Only that, this time the whacks are going to be real hard. It is imperative for mankind to realise his mistakes in order that he may make amends for the sake of purification of his soul, so that he may rise with the Mother into the New Age.
Man has to learn that he is not here to rule the world; he is here to co-exist with Nature and all life-streams on Earth. He is here to co-create, and to live in accordance with the Universal Laws for perfect peace and happiness. Man and Nature are interdependent on each other for their sustenance on the planet. Thus by choosing to live against the Laws of Nature, man stands much to lose. His connection with Nature is vital for his well-being and health. Nevertheless, the higher concepts of life are inconceivable to him in his present state of consciousness, which is plunged into the throes of materialism; he will need to learn by hard knocks, and Nature will make sure he learns this lesson, and that he remembers it for a very long time, indeed!
