What is it that makes you tick?

What is it that makes you tick? Is it your heartbeat, your breath or something more subtle than these physical functions? Your breath and heart-beats are just the outer physical signs of aliveness. What is it that governs these functions? There is something deeper and more subtle that governs your physical body, and that is your will to live. It is this will, which is the driving force of your existence on Earth. This will is not dominated by your ego or your lower self. It is the heart of your spirit that animates your outer shell making it habitable for your soul to live on Earth. The strength of your will determines the strength of your spirit. Exercise your will wherever and whenever possible in all your daily affairs for the world is full of charms and trickery that lure the mortal beings into its entrapments.

Without will-power you cannot set yourself free from the pettiness of the world. Your will is a weapon against all that is destructive for your spirit. Use it as a tool for your spiritual upliftment. The more you use this power, the stronger you will grow as a person. Its power multiplies with its use as with any other tool, which if left untouched and neglected tends to rust and corrode. It will not hurt to turn away from something to which your lower self is attracted. In order to upgrade your personality, it is necessary to wean away from the old tendencies, and give way to the new, wholesome ones which will automatically lead you in a new direction where you can live unfettered from the desolation of the matter world.

The next time you are tempted with something of purely materialistic value, refrain from indulging in it impulsively. The sorrow that you may experience is that of the lower self, and is transient. At the same time, you will be experiencing a feeling of elation somewhere deep inside for having resisted the temptation, and this feeling is lasting, triumphant and very gratifying. It comes with a feeling of well-being. You will be glad you stood your ground against the empty desires of the lower self. These are the little tests, which you must go through successfully if you wish to strengthen your personality. Working with pure substance in the matter world helps reconstruct a finer spiritual body at the etheric level.

What you do at the physical level affects your bodies at all other levels as well. Your physical body is not separate from your astral, etheric and mental bodies. These are all interpenetrating each other so that what affects one affects all others as well. It is therefore important to pay attention to not just your actions, but to your thoughts and emotions as well. Because of its invisibility, people use their mental body in a most destructive way. If they could see the thoughts that they emit they would be horrified by their hideous forms. Some of them are lethal – evil personified. Moreover, these do more damage to the owner than to others to whom they are directed. If one could only get a glimpse of what they create at the mental level, there is no doubt that they would embrace only the good and the best for themselves as well as for their enemies.

Every part of your being determines your health and well-being. Your health reveals the kind of life you lead, and the quality of situations that you face. You are what you think, and your life is what you attract. You are the creator of your life-circumstances. Who better than your own self will know what is right for you? If you believe that this world is full of sorrows and suffering, then that is what you will attract. Those who live by their truths that the world is full of dishonest people who are out to take advantage of you, then you have arranged, at your sub-conscious level, with the Universe to go through situations where you will encounter such unscrupulous people at every nook and corner of your life. If you are convinced that you are a victim of circumstances then you have set yourself up to play the role of a hapless victim, and where the Universe will gladly comply with your wish by endowing you with the ideal situations so that you can do full justice to the role that you have committed to play. When the large part of your focus is concentrated on your fears, these become a convincing reality in your life so that it obsesses your heart and mind. With that you become deaf and blind to all good sense. The energy thus generated is so dense and of a low vibrational frequency that it is unable to withstand the higher frequency of the positive energies, and so it repels these, while attracting that which is compatible to it in terms of negative and adverse situations.

There is nothing in your life that happens, which you have not invited advertently or inadvertently. So you see when you understand the dynamics of your mental and emotional activities and their effects upon your life in the physical world, then life is no longer an enigma to you. With that you can have a better control over your life, and turn things around in your favour for a more meaningful life. The material world does not provide you with information and science of the unseen reality in the formative years of your life. The thirst to seek divine knowledge has to come from your heart, and which will come to you as an inner calling. When you are ready the gates of heaven will open up, and you will be inundated with information and knowledge pouring down to you from sources you never imagined. Whether you are in a library or a bookshop, surfing on the internet or whatever, you will find exactly what you are looking for, as if by magic. But then, when you are walking the Path, life does become magical. You start living with heightened awareness to all that is happening within and around you. As you align yourself with the higher energies, you will always be guided in the right direction. Your Journey into the Light will not be alone for the Higher Ones tread this Path, and are always there to accompany you right until you reach your ultimate goal.
