Man - Beyond His Mortal Self

Man thinks he is limited in his powers as a mortal being, within the confines of his physicality. He thus looks upon himself as a weak, helpless person at the mercy of the outside situations until some grievous incident compels him to push his limits, and this is when he summons his inner power to battle the monstrosities of life. Great feats of strength and bravery are exhibited by man under stressful conditions, especially if it is a matter of survival, and has proved to himself and the world that he is something more than a mere mortal. If he was indeed a bag of flesh and bones, this would not have been possible.

When you put yourself down as some helpless destitute dependent on the outside world for your peace and happiness, you allow yourself to shrink so that all situations appear intimidating as they tower over you.

Most of the time man lives mechanically, just living by set conditions like a programmed human robot, and this is why he experiences paucity of the soul. But when he chooses to live in the fullness of his being - in full awareness of his higher faculties, he becomes invincible and fearless in the face of life's challenges, and is able to relate to his difficulties as ordinary occurrences that need to be attended. And this way his perception towards life remains balanced and rational.
