Man is trapped into the fallen consciousness, and this is why he suffers the consequences of his mistakes. The fallen consciousness prevents him from realizing that he is entrapped into doing things that are not in accordance with the Universe, and thus the suffering. He is made to believe that the cause of his sorrows is always in the external world, and that he can do nothing to change it. Such disparaging beliefs do not help to bring about peaceful situations in his life; these only continue to aggravate his untold suffering, thus frustrating his efforts of living in peace.
What man finds hard to believe is that he is responsible for his own sorrows. With his narrow, limited vision, he can only see that what is around him, that what is visible to him from his lower angle of perception. The entire picture remains invisible to him and that is why he goes on thrashing about hopelessly in the sea of sorrows instead of rising above it and perceiving life from a higher perspective. People find it hard to accept that they are responsible for their own sorrows. The acceptance can come only when he is willing to take charge of his life and stops looking outside for his happiness. The desire to rise above his predicament must come from within. Unless this happens, he will continue to flounder in the dark waters without really getting anywhere.
The fallen ones are taking advantage of man’s spiritual ignorance, relentlessly instilling disparaging thoughts and beliefs into the minds of men in order to keep them stuck in darkness. These ones will always justify for the things that they do and the way they live. They have the ways and means to distort the Universal Truths to suit their convenience as they go about with their unspiritual lives. Their beliefs sound so convincing that it requires an enlightened mind to see through the lies and fallacies that have managed to brainwash many gullible minds so that they have adopted a routine of inharmonious lifestyle, and live by these as God’s truth.
The lies and fallacies that people have adopted as their religious principles have caused untold damage to their psyche. As they are etched deeply in the subconscious, they are not easy to erase. They will refute and protest strongly against anything that challenges their misplaced beliefs, even while they continue to suffer the consequences of their erroneous way of life. However, man must learn through suffering. Only through suffering does man learn to obey the Laws of Nature. Suffering teaches him to come closer to God. Pain brings with it the wisdom, which he cannot acquire through books, lectures and discourses. Man needs to experience the pain before he can start to enjoy spiritual freedom.
