If
there is anyone who needs true love and compassion it is they who are known as
the parasites of society. The disdain and contempt that they get from the world
keeps them going strong on the path to destruction. The negativity directed at
them provides a thick shield against the Light trapping them into darkness so
that they are ever erring in life.
Harsh punishment is in order for the crimes they
commit yet at the same time it should be punishment for the sake of redemption
and not to seek revenge. Criminals have the toughest jobs on Earth, and they
have taken upon themselves such roles for the sake of their own spiritual
growth. A person, in the process of evolution, must play every role that there
is to play in order to enrich his soul with all kinds of experiences before he
can reach perfection. This could take thousands of years. The consequences are
a part of the game; you cannot be exempted from these; they come as a package
with your karmas. As these souls are on the bottom rung of the spiritual
ladder, they need some boost from those who have passed through these rough
times. Transmitting thoughts of hope and peace to these hardened souls can help
bring some Light into their dismal lives. All they have ever known is hatred
and contempt, and dare not hope for or expect love from their fellowmen who are
well-positioned in life.
Love is a catalyst that can burn away the gross
barriers that entrap man. It can pierce the hearts of man and melt away all
hardened substance that blocks their heart from giving and receiving love.
Putting one to death for the crimes committed serves no purpose in amending his
evil ways. There are many souls who pass on to the other side filled with fear,
anger and hatred, and they continue their dirty work from the spirit worlds,
inciting those on Earth to follow in their footsteps; they work through those,
who like them, are stooped to unscrupulous way of living on Earth.
It is necessary to allow one to realize and atone for
the mistakes that he commits before he passes on to the other side or else he
takes with him all his misgivings, only to bring these right back with him in
the subsequent reincarnations, thereby continuing from where he left off –
treading the wrong path. Thus capital punishment is a price too high for him to
pay. The prisons are designed to isolate the wrong-doer from others with the
intention that he may, in quiet contemplation, reflect upon his deeds, his
life, and then be penitent about it. Self-realization is the only way that can
help him reform.
No criminal, no matter how hardened he may be, is
doomed forever. At some stage in his journey towards the Light, he will tire of
his meanderings, and trace his steps back to the straight and narrow. Until then
he has a very long, tumultuous journey to go. Therefore treat him not with
contempt but help speed his spiritual progress with positive thoughts of
righteousness and compassion. 26.09.12
